Research Chair

   

Chair of research sub-committee - Dr. Joe Chilcot

Committee role:

Overall aim of our committee is to ‘identify, and where possible, execute ways of supporting and promoting high quality research within health psychology’. We propose to do this through our continued support and development of the scholarship program, organising research-relevant CPD events and to improve visibility of the discipline amongst funders

Job title at place of work:

Lecturer in Health Psychology

Joe is interested in depression and illness perceptions amongst patients with chronic illness. His current work is focused on developing and evaluating psychological interventions in dialysis patients designed to improve psychosocial and clinical outcomes.
