Committee Role
As Chair of the P&L Sub-Committee it is my role to oversee the management and co-ordination of the HPU, the DHP website, the DHP announcements list, the DHP Newsletter, the Consultation and Specialist Knowledge List, media output and public engagement. I then feedback to the main DHP committee agreed aims for these areas and ensure that these are followed through. As one of two web-managers, I update the website where appropriate. During the run-up to the conference, I co-ordinate the selection of abstracts that may be of interest to the press and work with a small team and the BPS to turn these into press releases. At the conference, I would then co-ordinate media interviews with authors.

Sex and Relationship Education and Sexual Health Consultant.
As a specialist in Sex and Relationship Education (SRE) I have research interests in sexulality and all aspects of promoting positive sexual health to young people. This is in addition to my other research interests relating to communication of sexual matters within families using digital media. I am a Chartered Psychologist, Chartered Scientist, Associate Fellow with the British Psychological Society as well as a registered Health Psychologist with the Health Professions Council. Furthermore I am a supervisor for the Stage 2 qualification in Health Psychology. I have my own consultancy company which focuses on all aspects of sexual health and communication via large organisations.
