Honorary Secretary

Honorary Secretary - Dr. Katherine Brown

Committee role:

The role involves organising meeting venues for the DHP committee and collecting, collating and organising the dissemination of reports and other documentation prior to meetings. It also involves addressing queries from committee members, carrying out some administrative tasks on their behalf (though the support worker assists with this) and addressing DHP members’ queries, and liaising with other committees and organisations on behalf of the DHP.

Job title at place of work:

Senior Lecturer in Psychology, Coventry University

I work on a 0.6 basis in the Psychology department and am Course Director of the MSc in Health Psychology (BPS accredited and offering stage 1 qualification). I also work within the Applied Research Centre in Health & Lifestyle Interventions on a 0.4 basis and head a research group focussed on Studies in Adolescent Sexual Health (SASH). We are engaged in a number of research and consultancy projects at any one time, and are interested in understanding safer sex behaviours in adolescents and young people, and the development and evaluation of theory and evidence based interventions designed to enhance safer sex behaviour.
