Promoting Health Psychology is an important aspect of the DHP's work and we promote health psychology to the public and professionals working in health, psychology and sciences via a range of media.
We work with the BPS press office to release news stories about the work presented at out annual conference and breaking stories about the division. We write for magazines, such as the recent special edition of The Psychologist celebrating 25 years of Health Psychology, and an article in the A-Level magazine, Psychology Review, "Health Psychology:Working in Health".
Committee members when able will attend events to give talks, answer questions and distribute promotional materials when possible, such as Psych4Students, and the Cheltenham Festival of Science. We engage with members, the public and other organisations via Twitter and can be followed through @divhealthpsych or @DHPpostgrads for health psychologists in training.
The Publicity & Liaison sub-committee have developed a range of promotional materials aimed at a variety of audiences. These are available as hard copies by contacting the DHP support officer or by clicking on the link to the PowerPoint/PDF versions below.
