Health Psychologists Unite!

Based at NHS and University sites across the East Midlands, the first regional forum for Health Psychologists has been founded. The group is designed for Health Psychologists working in clinical and research contexts. Whether you’re in a psychology department, a multidisciplinary clinical or academic environment, a trainee Health Psychologist, or are interested in training, you’re welcome to come along and mix with other Health Psychologists in your area.

The group meets every two months to share aspects of work related to Health Psychology research and practice. Meetings involve presentations by members and guest speakers, discussions and informal chatting time. Topics of interest include careers, professional identity and continuing professional development. We have an on-line Discussion Forum [http://www.hs.le.ac.uk/division/epph/projects/emhp/discussionforum/] for those wishing to join in our on-going debates about the current ”hot topics” for Health Psychologists. We welcome contributions from across the East Midlands, the UK and beyond.

For details of future meetings go to our website [http://www.hs.le.ac.uk/division/epph/projects/emhp/index.htm]. If you would like to attend please email Elly Strange [elly.strange@uhl-tr.nhs.uk] and if you would like to join the mailing list to be kept informed of future meetings and other events email Rachel Shaw [rls25@le.ac.uk].
