Staffordshire University the first BPS accredited Stage 2 Programme

The Professional Doctorate in Health Psychology developed by Staffordshire University is the first university course in the UK to be accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) as providing Stage 2 training.  The BPS has praised the "pioneering work" of the University in developing the Professional Doctorate.  Staffordshire University was also the first institution to receive accreditation for the MSc in Health Psychology. 

Course entrants are required to have a 2:1 degree or above in Psychology and an MSc in Helath Psychology with Merit.   The Professional Doctorate programme can be completed over two years full time - comprising one day a week at the University and four days in placement - or four years part-time.  For further details please see: http://www.staffs.ac.uk/schools/sciences/psychology/health/doctorate/doctorate.htm
