Ten bursaries available to attend the DHP conference!Applications are welcome from 3rd April 2006 until the closing date of 8th June 2006. UK-based candidates with a first degree in psychology who are not yet eligible for Chartered Health Psychologist status (e.g., postgraduate students, research assistants) will be considered. Preference will be given to DHP members, applicants who provide evidence of having tried to obtain funding from other sources (i.e., http://www.rdinfo.org.uk/Queries/WhatsNew.asp ), and/or applicants who have had a paper or poster accepted at the conference. It is a condition of acceptance of the award that the recipient should submit a report of some aspect of the conference to Health Psychology Update by the deadline immediately following the conference. Applications should be made in the form of a letter addressed to the Chair of the DHP (see below) and include: (i) a statement of why a bursary is needed (e.g., because a postgraduate student is not funded by a research council or their institution); and (ii) a supporting statement from a supervisor or referee. The Conference Scientific Committee reserves the right not to make awards should no suitable candidates be found. Six copies of the application should be sent (by 8th June 2006) to: Professor Nichola Rumsey, School of Psychology, University of the West of England, Frenchay Campus, Bristol, BS16 1QY.
